| | The EOFS (European Oldies Football Club) was founded in 1999. Since then we’ve held several Tournaments with International participation here in Vogtland.
The highlight was the Oldies Football World Championship in 2000 where we welcomed some 40 teams from around the world. Teams from countries like New Zealand, Hungary, Tscheckei, Ukraine, Moldova, Israel and Canada joined local teams like Hoechst-Classique from Frankfurt am Main, Union Berlin and Hansa Rostock to name just a few.
We also like to participate in tournaments in other regions which saw us in Hungary, Denmark, Austria and the World Fun Cup in New Zealand. Our next objective is the largest "Oldies Tournament of the World" we hope to attract some 400 teams from all over the world and achieve an entry to the Guinessbook of Records. Our aim is to bring as many Nationalities together as possible to enjoy the Fun and Fellowship and Camaraderie on and off the Field. The tournament will consist of 5 categories; Ladies open age, Hobby Teams in age groups, Men 35-45, 46-49 and Over 50 years of age. We will keep you informed as things develop.
This event will not only be a major Football Festival for Germany and Vogtland, but will be remembered for years to come as a once in a life time experience.
